BJD Jansampark aims at hiding failures: BJP

Published on:

The BJP on Monday dubbed the BJD Jansampark Padyatra as a campaign to cover up the failures of the State Government and dared Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to give replies to 10 questions it would ask each day during the 10-day Padyatra.

“It’s not a journey of achievements but a campaign to cover up the State Government’s inefficiencies. Every year, they do such a padayatra to propagate two things; some baseless allegations against the Centre and beat their own drum,” BJP general secretary Prithviraj Harichandan said at a Press meet.

He said the BJP would put 10 questions each day during the Padyatra and, if he has guts, the Chief Minister give replies to those before the public.

He blamed the State Government for poor health services, massive vacancies in teacher posts and frequent collapse of bridges alleging that BJD Ministers and leaders have nexus with contractors.

On the other hand, senior Congress leader and leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Narasingha Mishra said both the BJD and the BJP are competing with each other in telling lies and hoodwinking people.

“There are no teachers and doctors in schools and hospitals.

Is not it trueIJ” Mishra said targeting the BJD. Similarly, he alleged that the BJP has failed to keep its promises.

“The BJP had promised to provide jobs to two lakh youths a year. Has it kept the promiseIJ” Mishra wanted to know.
