The members of the Bjiu Krushak Janta Dal (BKJD) here led by Arkesh Narayan Singh Deo on Wednesday staged demonstration before the Collectorate, protesting against the inadequate supply of fertiliser to the farmers of Odisha by the Center.
“We have apprised about the shortage of fertiliser issue and the problems being faced by the farmers in the ongoing crop season, to our Chief Minister, who has also taken it up with the Union Minister of Fertilisers and Chemicals Mansukh Mandaviya. In spite of all this, the problem concerning fertiliser shortage is not sorted out,” said Singh Deo, adding, “We would submit a memorandum to the President of India to address the issue soon.”
