The BJD held Aaama Gaon Aaama Vikas padyatra in Ganjam block here on Monday in which thousands of men and women led by senior BJD leader and member of State Planning Board Rama Chandra Panda joined.
They moved on foot from the Ganjam NAC town to Kainchapur village informing the locals of the myriad benefits of different pro-people projects and welfare schemes initiated by the BJD Government in the State and the anti-people measures taken by the BJP-led Central Government. A public meeting was held in Kainchapur village. Addressing the gathering, Panda said that the BJP-led NDA Government betrayed the confidence of the people.
Prominent among those who joined the rally include local BJD MlA Dr Priyanshu Pradhan, BJD district general secretary Jagannath Sabat, Zilla Parishad Chairman Subash Chandra Behera, former Ganjam Block Chairman and senior BJD leader Surath Pahan, Youth leader Manu Mohapatra, BJD State observer Prafulla Singh, former Chairman of Ganjam Block Raghunath Sahu, former Chairman Ganjam NAC Gopal Tarai and Zilla Parishad Member Shanti Devi etc.
