The BJD is all geared up to give a grand welcome to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the Biju Patnaik Airport here on Tuesday when he arrives from New Delhi after receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Capital Foundation Society.
More than 1 lakh people from across the State are expected to receive Patnaik, for which elaborate arrangements are in place. City DCP Prateek Singh, who on Monday took stock of the security arrangements, said 26 platoons of police would be deployed.
Huge cutouts and posters of Patnaik have been put up and barricades have been erected for the huge crowds which will throng the airport.
