State Youth Congress president lokanath Moharathy on Sunday slammed the Naveen Patnaik-led BJD Government for failing to provide employment opportunities for the youths of the State.
At a Press conference here, Moharathy said the party would hold a convention here on May 9 and chalk out a future course of action and expose the failure of the BJD Government during its 17-year-long rule.
The State Government signed a plethora of MoUs with different companies and claimed to have generated employment opportunities for least 70 percent of local youth. But in reality educated local youth continue to struggle to meet their ends.
YC Spokes person Joti Acharya said the Chief Minister misled the youth by claiming that the State received huge investments in different sector. The Youth Congress demands employment opportunities for the jobless failing which the Government should provide them with allowances.
