BJD claim to come to power a daydream: Cong

Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary Aryakumar Jnanendra on Wednesday described as daydream the BJD leaders’ assertion that State’s the ruling party would again come to power in the 2014 general elections.

Jnanendra was referring to the BJD leaders’ speeches at a meeting held to celebrate the birthday of late Biju Patnaik on Tuesday.

He said that during these 13 years of the BJD regime, the State has failed in all fronts contrary to its tall claims. The people of the State have now realised how the Naveen Patnaik-led Government has been befooling them to gain their votes on the “false” slogans against the UPA Government at the Centre.

He referred to the multiple scams during the BJD rule. He said the Congress is a 128-year-old political party, which believes in choosing its leaders in a democratic manner unlike the BJD which is a one-man show.

Even the BJD Ministers shamelessly swear from public platforms that they are “servants” of the Chief Minister, he pointed out.

Jnanendra asserted that the accumulated discontent of people would be reflected in the outcome of the forthcoming general elections, throwing out the BJD Government from power.
