A businessman’s manager was allegedly robbed off Rs 16 lakh by three miscreants at gunpoint in broad daylight in the Ghagarbeda area of Mayurbhanj district on Sunday.
A Ghagarbeda-based grocery wholesaler’s manager Tapan Kumar Pradhan was returning from neighbouring Jharkhand in a four-wheeler after collecting money from retailers, when the three bike-borne youths intercepted him.
At gunpoint, they terrorized him, snatched a bag containing cash from Tapan and fled towards Jharkhand.
Later Tapan lodged a complaint with the Ghagarbeda police. After registering a case, police have launched an investigation into the loot.
