The BJD on Saturday supported BJP leader Bishwabhushan Harichanda’s statement that the BJP is also responsible for mistakes and failures committed during the nine years of Naveen Patnaik-led BJD-BJP partnership Government.
“Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, BJP spokespersons and other party leaders are in the practice of blaming the BJD for the mistakes and failures, as they allege, during the last 18 years. Bishwabhushan Babu is a senior leader and what he has told the media is correct. Hence, Dharmendra Babu and others should learn from him and stop blaming the BJD and claiming BJP Ministers were innocent and transparent,” said BJD spokesperson and Rajya Sabha member Pratap Keshari Deb.
BJP State secretary Bijay Nayak said Harichand’s statement has come as a slap on the faces of BJP leaders who have been blaming the BJD for various Government activities of the last 18 years.
“Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and BJP leaders should learn from Harichandanbabu and stop blaming others, otherwise people of Odisha will give a befitting reply at an appropriate time,” said Nayak.
