In a minor reshuffle, the State Government on Thursday shifted at least nine IAS and three OAS officers from different positions. A 2001-batch IAS officer Bishnu Prasad Sahoo has been named new Vice-Chairman of the Cuttack Development Authority (CDA), while 2003-batch IAS Anil Kumar Samal was made new Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Director.
Collectors of nine districts were shifted. While Yamini Sarangi was appointed as new Collector of Kandhamal district, Bijay Ketan Upadhyaya as Jagatsinghpur district Collector and V Jaya Kumar as Koraput Collector. Similarly, N Thirumala Nayak was shifted to Keonjhar, Rasmita Panda to Nabarangpur, D Brunda to Kalahandi and Sadique Alam to Nuapada district.
Similarly, senior OAS officer Pramod Kumar Das was made new Additional Secretary of the School and Mass Education Department, while senior OAS officer Debaraj Senapati became new Collector of Kendrapada and senior OAS officer Satya Malik became new Collector of Jajpur district.
