Jagatsinghpur BJD district president Bishnu Das on Wednesday said he is ready to contest from the Paradip Assembly seat if BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik gives his consent. Das told the media that the BJD workers in the constituency are sulking against incumbent MLA Damodar Rout due to his tyrannical attitude. In case he (Das) contests from Paradip, the party workers would be eager to support him.
He further said that though Rout is making tall claims, he has not many supporters left in the constituency. Any BJD candidate with the party organisation backing can successfully contest from the seat, Das said.
