Five-time MlA, former Minister and presently Rajya Sabha member and senior BJD leader Bishnu Charan Das has been elected consecutively for the fourth time since 2007 to the post of the State President of the Bharat Scouts and Guides.
“His unblemished record unflagging zeal, unique leadership for championing the cause of Scouts and Guides in the State is the reason behind his being elected for the fourth term,” said a senior official of the organisation.
Ministers Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak and Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh, MP Sarojini Hembram, MlAs Pramila Mallick and Sashi Bhusan Behera and former Member of State Administrative Tribunal Manoranjan Mohanty have been elected as Vice-Presidents of the organisation.
An official declaration to this effect will be made probably in the third week of August.
