District Sub-Collector has advised penal action against Jagatsinghpur BJD MlA and former Minister Bishnu Das in a false affidavit case. The advisory was issued on Friday.
It may be recalled that in 2013, Jagatsinghpur block Congress president laxmi Narayan Samantray had filed an FIR against MlA Das for concealing information about his landed property while filing his property affidavit for contesting elections in 2009. The Sub-Collector’s recommendation has come at a time when BJD ticket distribution for the second phase elections is due in a couple of days.
