Commemorating on the third death anniversary of BJD veteran, former Minister, and legislator Bishnu Das, a statue of the late leader was inaugurated in his residence at Mukundapur in Jagatsinghpur town.
His wife inaugurated the bust in the presence of a few BJD leaders, including his son Tirtol MLA Bijaya Shankar Das and hundreds of sympathizers of Das as well as common people.
Zilla Parishad president Manoj Bhoi, a close aide of late Das, and Jagatsinghpur town BJD president Priyabrata Mohapatra, BJD district president Ravi Narayan Jena, MLA Prashant Muduli, Dipti Das and Dolagovinda Das were present on occasion and paid floral tributes.
While sources said that no meeting was organized either by BJD or any organization following his death anniversary, his statues located in Biridi, Raghunathpur, and Tirtol block areas were garlanded on Tuesday by the locals.
