In another such incident, a Kolkata-Mumbai IndiGo flight made an emergency landing at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here on Thursday morning after it was hit by a bird.
The aircraft, however, landed safely and no passengers were hurt. The aircraft remains grounded at the airport while passengers were sent to Mumbai through a New Delh-Mumbai flight later. Following the incident, the flight has been sent for repair. Notably, an Air Vistara flight had been hit by a bird on May 5.
