In a major step for healthcare to ensure that patients reach hospitals on time, a motorbike ambulance service would be launched to provide quick emergency response in remote areas of tribals-dominated Koraput district soon.The district has received eight bike ambulances under a special fund released by the Central Government. The service would be rolled out soon following a decision to be taken within three days, informed Koraput CDMO.
The fully-equipped bike ambulances can run on kutcha roads to provide service to patients in remote areas of Narayanpatna, Bandhugaon, Lamataput and Dasmantpur blocks in the district.
