On the eve of the birth centenary of former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik, a voluntary blood donation camp was organised by Eastern India Oil Refinery Workers Union (EIORWU) president Santosh Pattnaik at the Zero Point Paradip on Friday.
BJD district president Bishnu Charan Das inaugurated the blood camp. The union would organise various programmes on Saturday. A total of 952 blood units were collected from the blood camp. EIORWU secretary Padmalochan Das, Manindra Guru and Akshay Swain were present.
Besides, Paradip MlA and Excise Minister Dr Damodar Rout will organise the veteran leader’s birthday celebration on behalf of the Biju Patnaik Memorial Trust, Paradip.
