Congress leader and former Chief Secretary Bijay Kumar Patnaik is likely to be fielded from Paralakhemundi Assembly seat in the coming election.
The Paralakhemundi Assembly constituency used to be a Congress fort where late MLA Trinath Sahu won for 4 times. Later K Surya Rao won. So Congress party has had a strong base in this segment.
On his last visit to the district, Patnaik said voters had been disgusted with the long 24 years' reign of BJD in Odisha.
He exuded confidence that Congress now is more warmed up by support of people which he saw on mass gathering wherever he visited.
On development scenario, Congress will revive democracy and provide good governance, said Patnaik.
