The Odisha Bigyan Academy here celebrated the National Science Day on Sunday. Joining through a videoconferencing, Minister of Science and Technology Ashok Chandra Panda graced the occasion as chief guest and released a special issue of ‘Bigyan Diganta’ and ‘Science Magazine’ with contents based on various aspects of Covid-19.
The event also witnessed release of monograph ‘Artificial Intelligence’ by Principal Secretary, Science and Technology Department Santosh Kumar Sarangi. Lectures on “Multi-morbidity and its multiple challenges for healthcare” by SCS Award winner and Director, ICMR-RMRC Dr Sanghamitra Pati, on ‘Acute Liver Failure (ALF)-The Indian Perspective’ by Biju Patnaik Award Winner of the Academy and Pro-Chancellor, KIIT University Prof Dr Subrat Kumar Acharya were another part of the programme. Odisha Bigyan Academy president Prof Pramod Chandra Mishra presided over the function, and a vote of thanks was offered by secretary Er Bhagat Charan Mohanty.
