A case has come to the fore in the Rajnagar police station area where a bigamist was arrested by the police for allegedly outraging the modesty of his second wife’s sister on Monday night at Nurugaon village.
According to IIC of Rajnagar police station Biranchi Bag, one Akash Kumar Das of Hurasahi allegedly outraged the modesty of his 25-year old sister-in-law Ranjita (name changed).
The event took place when he was at his in-laws’ house to celebrate the Raja festivity. The act of Akash was allegedly opposed by his wife and in-laws, but he manhandled them. The victim’s elder sister Sumitra Rout, Akash’s second wife, lodged an FIR at the police station against him. The police registered a case and arrested Akash and was produced before a local court on Wednesday.
