The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court on Thursday sentenced a man to undergo four years’ imprisonment and pay fine `1,000 on the charge of attempting to kill his wife due to family feud. Reports said that one Dilip Kumar Ojha, a resident of Balisahi village under Balikuda block, had attempted to kill his wife Gitanjali Ojha by a lethal weapon on November 28, 2015. However, the lady had managed to escape following intervention of her son and villagers. After staying a few days at hospital and getting treatment, she was discharged. Meanwhile, the victim lady had lodged an FIR at Balikuda police station stating the cruelty of her husband. Following this, police had arrested Dilip and forwarded him to court.
