During frisking, the cops recovered two guns and some bullets from the cars. They then towed the vehicles to the police station.

The businessman filed a written complaint with the Nayapalli police on Saturday alleging that four miscreants tried to abduct him late on Friday night.

The businessman in his report claimed that he was sleeping in his car following a quarrel with his wife. Late in the night, the miscreants abducted him at gun point. They then forced him to board their car and drove towards Rasulgarh from Nayapalli.

However, the abduction bid was foiled after the kidnappers’ vehicle and the businessman’s vehicle being driven by one of the miscreants were hit by a truck from behind on the flyover.

“The miscreants stopped suddenly due to RTO checking on the National Highway. A truck came from behind and hit the cars from the rear. The severe collision severely damaged the vehicles forcing the abductors to flee from the scene,” said the businessman.

The police during investigations found the Toyota Innova used by the kidnappers had a false number plate.
