Excise Department personnel, following a tip-off, on Tuesday arrested a 50-year-old drug peddler after seizing 30 grams of brown sugar worth around Rs 3 lakh from his possession during a raid near the bus-stand here. The accused, identified as Dillip Singh, is a resident of laxmisagar in Bhubaneswar and a native of Bihar. Singh has been residing in Bhubaneswar for about 29 years. A case under the NDPS ACT has been registered against him.
