Sixteen-year-old actress Bhoomika Dash has been announced as the PECUC’s newest Goodwill Ambassador for promotion of child rights for 2019-2021 period and 14-year-old sportsperson Anshika Routray as Goodwill Ambassador for promotion of children’s right to play.
PECUC secretary Ranjan Kumar Mohanty announced this at a special programme held on the occasion of No Child Labour Day here on Tuesday.
Mohanty called upon all concerned to work towards a child friendly Odisha and to end all sorts of violence on children. PECUC ED Anuradha Mohanty gave the welcome address. Chairman Adaramoni Boral presided over the meeting. Olympian Anuradha Biswal, Odishi dancer Dr Snehaprava Samantaray, were present. Treasurer Ratna Dash introduced Goodwill Ambassadors.
Akankhya Kabi, the outgoing Goodwill Ambassador, presented the title SASH to both the new Goodwill Ambassadors with all her good wishes.
JS Mohanty, Pratikhya Bohidar, Panu Behera and Sumitra Mohanty facilitated the programme.
