Bhimpur denizens seek CM intervention

The inhabitants of Bhimpur Mouza near the Biju Patnaik International Airport have sought intervention of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik over installation of two gates along the Wireless Road by the Airport authorities thereby creating inconvenience to the denizens to visit the local Trinath Temple and the community centre.

They also urged the Chief Minister to facilitate construction of a 30-feet-wide road in the area. In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister, the denizens alleged that the airport authorities are trying to instal two gates encroaching around 500 dec of land (i.e. plot.no-1004pt and 729pt) which was handed over to GA Dept for construction of a 30 feet wide public road at the side of Airport-Community Center and Trinath Temple to VIP-Road, violating the BDA Master Plan.

“The Airport authorities through their contractor trying to construct the boundary wall forcibly encroaching of around 18 feet in wide from the 30 feet road at their side, as a result of which the road will be narrowed to 20 feet which is purely illegal,” said the memorandum.

Stating that a 30 feet wide road is the minimum and bare necessity for a residence area situated within the BDA Master Plan area, for smooth running of day to day life the denizens urged the Chief Minister to intervene in the matter to faciliatate construction of a 30 feet road to tackle with emergency situations like easy entry of fire-brigade and ambulances in the locality.
