ST and SC Development Minister Ramesh Majhi inaugurated a Chair and a Research Centre in the name of Santhkabi Bhima Bhoi at the KISS University here on Monday.
Majhi said Bhima Bhoi always thought of the upliftment of deprived people of the society; and the KISS is the proper place to set up a chair and a research centre in his name as it has been doing upliftment of deprived tribal people since its inception.
KIIT and KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta spoke on important aspects of Bhima Bhoi’s life and philosophy which the KISS has been following for welfare of deprived classes.
The chair and research centre would work on the higher study and research on Bhima Bhoi’s life and philosophy. On the occasion, a statue of Bhima Bhoi was also unveiled by Majhi in the KISS campus.
