The Culture Department observed the 11th foundation day of the Odia Bhasha Pratisthan on the Utkal Divas on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, senior administrator RN Senapati said about the various developments of the State after Independence.
He said, “Our communication facilities have also improved and railway and other communication too extended. Still we have no sanctity to feel as Odia where our identity is getting lost.”
Culture Department Secretary Manoranjan Panigrahi said about the need of boundary on Odia language which can reach to unreached.
The speakers lauded the contribution of Gajapati Krushna Chandra Deb, Utkal Gourav Madusudan Das, Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das and other prominent personalities to bring independence of Odisha.
