The city branch of the Odisha Bhasa Andolan held a black flag procession here on Sunday, demanding action against those violating the Odia language Act.
The procession started from near the statue of Utkalmani Gopabandh Dash ended near the statue of Madhubabu at Gandhi Nagar. later, a public meeting was held there and discussions about Bhasa Andolan were held.
Odisha Bhasa Andolan State president Subash Chandra Pattanayak and coordinator Pabitra Maharatha, former Vice-Chancellor Hari Hara Dash, senior lawyer Bhagaban Sahu were the guests and spoke on the issue. City branch coordinator Sagar Ranjan tripathy, Shyam Sundar Khadanga, Birupakhya Dash,Soumya Ranjan Sahu.
Somnath Sahu and Sabita Sahakar held black flags and took part in the rally.
