Writer of critically-acclaimed Odia film Bhakta Salabega, released in 1983, Subha lakshmi Mohanty passed away at a private hospital here on Saturday morning. She was 65.
Mohanty was ailing for a while. Her husband Surya Narayan Mohanty had produced films Bhakta Salabega and School Master (1985). Bhakta Salabega stands for communal harmony state of Utkaliya that melts many culture and sects into one great Jagannath culture.
Mohanty’s demise was condoled by many people, including creative and artistic fraternity. Her body was kept at her Palashpalli residence for people to pay their last respects.
