Bajrang Dal State coordinator Manas Ranjan Mohanty was on Tuesday arrested by police for his alleged involvement in the recent violence in Bhadrak town.
The Bhadrak Town police arrested Mohanty for allegedly inciting violence during the unrest.
With this, the total number of persons arrested in connection with the communal incident mounted to 277.
It may be recalled that Asim Parida alias Muna, a leader of Congress youth wing, BJP Yuva Morcha Bhadrak district general secretary Bikash Shrestha and Subhankar alias Kalia Mohapatra, Councillor of Ward-15 of Bhadrak Municipality, were earlier arrested by police on similar grounds.
Notably, Bhadrak town was on the boil after some inflammatory posts against Hindu deities were posted on social networking site leading to tension between two communities.
