The Chudamani Marine Police registered a case against one Prasanta Kumar Parhi, Principal, Kalpataru Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya at Bainsh Patana, Basudevpur, his brother Sukanta Kumar Parhi and brother-in-law Kamalakanta Panda in a theft, molestation and threatening case.
The complainant Arati Daitari, Principal, Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Chudamani, alleged that Prasanta took away college records from her office almirah and forcibly entered into her room and committed molestation, using abusive language. He also allegedly threatened to kill her.
The staff members of the college rescued her. After the incident, Prasanta’s brother Sukanta and brother-in-law Kamalakanta threatened dire consequences if she disclosed the matter or lodged a FIR.
Meanwhile, the accused have not been arrested. The locals demanded the intervention of the SP in the matter.
