CBI sleuths on Monday arrested and court-forwarded the Assistant Superintendent of Posts working at the Bhadrak district Head Post Office on the charge of taking bribe.
According to sources, Dhiren Das, the Assistant Superintendent of Posts had been demanding Rs 40,000 from one Antaryami Sahoo of Brahamnigaon under the Basudevpur police station who qualified the JDS test of the Postal Department since long. However, the youth agreed to give Rs 10,000 in two installments.
later, Antaryami informed CBI officials, Cuttack about it. As per plan the CBI team led by A Chakravaty and SN Dutta caught Dhiren red-handed while he was accepting Rs 5,000 from Antaryami at his office.
