The Vigilance police on Thursday raided residence and office of an RTO official here for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known source of income.
The houses of Shankar Narayan Choudhury, Junior MVI at RTO in Bhadrak, were raided simultaneously by a team of Cuttack Vigilance sleuths at six locations including in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar on Thursday morning.
According to reports, the Vigilance team raided the rented house of the official at Charampa area in Bhadrak. They returned to his office as the house was locked up.
The sleuths reportedly seized several documents. As the probe was underway, the Vigilance officials declined to provide further information regarding the raid to media.
