The Chashi Surakshya Manch (CSM) would protest against the visit of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to the district on Wednesday.
In this connection, convener of the CSM Debabrata Mishra along with other members submitted a memorandum to the district Collector on Monday. In the memorandum they have alleged that on November 19, 2015 at the Chashi Samabesh at Sohela of the district, the CM had announced to give Rs 100 bonus per quintal to the farmers. But no farmer has got the bonus till November 5, 2016.
On his second visit to Bijepur and Padampur on November 6, 2016 he has given bonus to only 80 farmers out of 27,000. More than 8,000 farmers had deposited Rs20,000 each for deep bore well irrigation programme under the the Biju Krushaka Yojana of the State Government in November 2015. It was announced that that within four month the Yojana would be functional. But the concerned programme has not been implemented till now, the CSM alleged.
And 96,000 farmers have been debarred from getting insurance on farming due to the wrong report of the State submitted to the Central Government. They also alleged that the CM will come here for a Government programme but in reality come to campaign for the coming panchayat elections.
So, the Manch has demanded cancelation of the CM’s visit to Bargarh. They have threatened that if the CM would come here the Manch along with the farmers of the district will protest. Among others, SK Nazim Vddin, Sakuntala Mahapatra, lipsit Mishra, Jayanta Sandha, Paresh Bishi and Durga Prasad Tripathy were present.
