Vigilance officers on Tuesday arrested Bench Clerk and Judicial Section in-Charge at the Bargarh Collectorate Tusarakanta Pradhan for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs7,000.
Pradhan had demanded the bribe from Hrusikesh Pradhan of Kaupali village in the district to process a file for issuance of No Objection Certificate (NOC) for installation of a petrol pump of the Essar Oil ltd at Kadilipali.
When the complaint requested Pradhan to process the file required for issuance of NOC, the latter demanded the bribe.
later, Pradhan was caught red-handed by the Vigilance officials. Investigation is on in the case.
