The BJP on Monday termed the celebrations after the Best Administrator Award conferment on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik as ‘Nero fiddling while Rome is burning’.
“The celebrations by the Chief Minister over the Best Administrator Award is like Nero fiddling while Rome is burning as people of Odisha are spending life in penury and pain,” alleged party vice-president Sameer Mohanty at a Press meet here .
He said the incidents like carrying of pregnant women on cots to hospitals, mines scams of crores of rupees and teachers’ sitting on dharna demanding fulfillment of legitimate demands have revealed the real administration power of the Chief Minister.
“The award is a sponsored one and the celebrations are being done in order to cover up his Government’s failures,” Mohanty alleged further.
He further informed that another English Weekly (India Today) has uncovered Naveen’s real face. “While the magazine had on July 3, 2017 termed Naveen Patnaik as the most efficient Chief Minister and forecast that he would continue to form Government for the 5th time, it has excluded him from the list of good Chief Ministers in its 28th edition,” he said.
