Bengaluru CBI officials on Sunday took arrested Deccan Chronicle (DC) group vice-chairman PK Iyer on transit remand.
A team led by Bengaluru CBI bank fraud cell SP Surya Thankappan took Iyer to their custody and left for Bengaluru. Earlier on Saturday evening, Additional SP of the bank security fraud cell Biswajit Das had arrived here to take Iyer on remand.
Iyer was arrested by Commissionerate Police from a star hotel in the city on Saturday in connection with an `350-crore bank loan fraud case.
later in the day, the Special Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court had allowed the investigating team to take Iyer on a two-day transit remand.
