“Police are able to know the (registration) number of the vehicle which was allegedly used by two culprits to abduct a Bajrang Dal activist who was on his way to Kolkata from Joda by a bus at Rimuli Bypass, and the culprits will also be nabbed soon.”
Revealing this, Joda PS IIC SK Soren expressed his gratitude to the people of Joda for supporting the police in maintaining peace and hoped for the same in future to help the police.
It is to be noted here that situation was very tense on the issue of beef supply to Joda. Subsequently, the two culprits had tried to abduct a local Bajrang Dal youth from a bus. The police had held a march-past after activists of the Bajrang Dal went around in procession with lights in their hands in demand of arresting the criminals.
Some elements of mining mafias were alleged to fish in the troubled waters by joining hands with the agitated mass. However, the situation seems to be under control now.
