The BEd Sikshya Sahayak Sangha, Odisha held its executive meeting here on Sunday at which State and district-level committee members participated.

The members praised Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for being conferred with the Best Administrator award and welcomed his decision for abolishing the Block Grant system.

The Sangha threatened to hold Maha Samavesh from September 16 if the Government fails to fulfil the BEd teachers’ demands before September 8 and to gherao the State Assembly.

Among others, Sangha president Ajay Kumar Dhal, general secretary Debendra Kumar Nayak, working president Durjyodhan Das, secretary general Ramesh Chandra Nayak, VP Nursingha Charan Sahu and secretary (organisation) Khirod Chandra Swain were present.
