The Association of Teachers’ Recruited in BEd under Zila Parisad, Odisha (ATRIBUZO) on Monday hailed the fresh amendment in the Elementary Cadre Rule.
“With the fresh amendment of the Elementary Cadre Rule which was notified by the State Government on July 2, hundreds of BEd teachers working in various Upper Primary Schools across the State will be eligible to get promotion for five times starting from level five (Teacher) to level 1 (Headmaster and District Education Officer). Hence, it is a welcome step of the Government,” said ATRIBUZO secretary Ranjan Kumar Mohanty to mediapersons here.
Nearly 20,000 BEd teachers would be benefitted following the amendment.
The teachers’ body at the same time demanded that the State Government make provision to give them a basic monthly pay of Rs9,300 along with grade pay Rs4,200.
