Members of the BEd Siksha Sahayak Sangha continued sitting on a dharna for 23rd day on Monday demanding hike in salary and regularisation of jobs.
On Saturday, the members held a condolence meeting and a candidly rally at dharna site and paid tributes to the CRPF Jawans, who were killed in terrorists’ attack in Jamau and Kashmir.
Association president Saroj Kumar Panda, secretary Debendra Nayak and Rupesh Sahoo severely criticised the State Government for not calling them to the Ministerial-level meeting held on Saturday to hold discussion on their demands.
“Though we had submitted a memorandum to Finance Minister Shashi Bhushan Behera a few days back, it is disappointing that we were not called to the Ministerial meeting held on Saturday,” lamented Panda.
Panda threatened that BEd Siksha Sahayaks and all their family members would boycott the upcoming elections if the Chief Minister doesn’t intervene and ensure fulfillment of their demands.
Sangha convenor Lalatendu Malal, Duryodhan Das, Sumitra Maharana, Hemasagar Panigrahi, Narayan Paanda, Akshay Prusti, Alok Mohanty, Sanjay Kumar Samal, Bibhas Muduli, Baikuntha Pradhan, Padmalochan Ghadei, Pradeep Kuamr Behera and Himanshu Swain were present.
