The BEd Shiksha Sahayak Sangha would hold a Maha Samavesh (massive rally) here on September 23 protesting the apathetic attitude of the State Government towards them.
Sangha secretary general Umesh Chandra Nayak along with other members met the School and Mass Education Minister and the Chief Secretary on Monday.
They demanded job regularisation, TGT status and salary to the teachers appointed in TGT posts under RTE-2009, National Education Policy-2005 and RTE-18 (C), salary hike and insurance.
Their demands also include implementation of NCERT syllabus from Class-I and uniform for all Shiksha Sahayaks.
“If the State Government fails to fulfil our demands in writing by September 21 then we will gherao the State Assembly. We will also hold a Maha Samavesh from Master Canteen Square to the lower MPG,” said Sangha general secretary Debendra Kumar Nayak.
About 25,000 TG Shiksha Sahayaks would participate in Samavesh, he informed.
