Garadapur Block Development Officer (BDO) Bipra Charan Mohanty was booked for allegedly dishonoring the National Flag during the Republic Day celebration in the block premises on Sunday. While the BDO was pulling the rope to unfurl the flag, it snapped from the rope and fell on his feet. One Ganesh Kundu of Pahana village lodged an FIR against the BDO at the Patkura police station alleging that the National Flag was dishonoured. Soon the police registered a case and the investigation is on. When contacted, BDO Mohanty said it happened accidentally and not intentionally.
