B'deshi accused of murder held

A Bangladeshi national accused of murdering a Coast Guard man was arrested by police on Thursday. He was identified as Khokan Seikh.

The Special Taskforce (STF) of the Crime Branch of State police arrested Khokan under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act.

According to sources, Khokan is allegedly involved in the murder of a Coast Guard personnel in Paradip. He had been hiding in Paradip for the past two years, the sources said. Acting on a tipoff from a Central intelligence agency, the STF apprehended Khokan, added the sources.
