In evening weather bulletin issued by India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday, 119.1 mm rainfall was recorded in Bhubaneswar from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Weathermen predicted that if this kind of rainfall continues overnight in State Capital, it would break record of rainfall on September 9, 1958 when city had 163 mm of rains 63 years ago. Cuttack recorded 17.2-mm rainfall from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm on Sunday. Maximum 145-mm rainfall was recorded in Puri town from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm on day. Weathermen predicted rains in BBSR for two more days.
