In a declining trend, Bhubaneswar on Saturday registered 592 new Covid-19 positive cases, with which the State capital city’s total tally increased to 79,919.
Out of the fresh cases, 482 were local contacts and 110 were quarantine cases. The local contacts included 27 cases from Jharpada, 21 from Khandagiri, 20 from Dumduma and 13 from Chandrasekharpur.
Currently, the active cases in the city stood at 9,465.
Meanwhile, three more patients succumbed to the virus in the city on the day, surging the total toll to 351. However, 1,255 patients recovered on the day, increasing the total recoveries to 70,082.
