Bhubaneswar on Saturday registered 275 Covid-19 positive cases, with which the total tally increased surged to 1,05,275 in the capital city. Notably, the city had recorded 245 cases on Friday. Out of the 275 new cases, 216 were local contacts and 59 from quarantine.
The local contacts included 17 cases in Patia followed by 14 in Nayapalli, 13 in Khandagiri, 10 in Jharpada, nine in Old Town and eight each in Patrapada, Laxmi Sagar and Chandrasekharpur.
The active cases in the city stood at 3,379. So far, 979 patients have succumbed to the disease in the city. However, 188 persons recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, increasing the total recoveries to 1,00,896.
