To meet CM in BBSR on various demands
Prior to the upcoming annual Rath Yatra here, servitors of the Baripada Jagannath temple on Wednesday took out a padayatra to meet Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in Bhubaneswar over their eight-point charter of demands.
The servitors launched the padayatra from Baripada to the State capital to press for development of the temple, known as the second Shreekhetra of Odisha.
The padayatra is likely to halt the construction of chariots as the temple’s Maharana servitors have also participated in the rally.
Though the servitors had earlier approached the concerned Minister and the Chief Minister about the issues, nothing has been achieved as yet.
