The Vigilance police on Friday arrested Hrudeswar Behera, Baripada Minor Irrigation Division Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) on the allegation of acquisition of assets worth Rs 1, 64, 02,984, disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Behera’s residential triple- storied building at Baripada town, house at native village- Nodhadiha, flat at Nayapali, Bhubaneswar, office room at Baripada, house of relatives at village- Chandanpur and residential house of Adikanda Sankhua of village-Asita were simultaneously searched on Thursday by Vigilance officers.
Behera was forwarded to the court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Baripada. Investigation of the case is in progress.
