The State administration has been giving most priority on the development of township, but in Bargarh town, the case is just the opposite. In ward no (19), the situation is precarious as the basic civic amenities are missing, including drainage, supply of drinking water and lighting, among others.
The sewerage system is in a complete mess. Dumps of garbage lie on roads with the authorities not a bit concerned to lift them. Due to choked drains, water logging is taking place in most of the areas in Bargarh even during a little drizzle. Despite numerous complaints, the authorities have preferred to cast deaf ear to the hardship of the residents.
According to sources, the ward no 19 counselor belongs to the Congress. The residents allege that political rivalry has been the main reason why the authorities are nonchalant about the inconveniences faced by them.
