More than a hundred workers of the youth wing of the Odisha Jana Morcha (OJM) led by its Bargarh district president Manas Mohanty on Thursday protested the “well-planned conspiracy” by the Naveen Patnaik Government against OJM general secretary Jagnenswar Babu. later the workers handed over a memorandum to the Governor through the District Magistrate urging him to intervene in the issue.
The OJM workers alleged that Babu was illegally arrested by the instruction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
The OJM supporters threatened that if the Government does not release Babu, they would launch a movement all over the State. “If any untoward incident happens, the Naveen Patnaik Government will be responsible for that,” the OJM workers said.
Among others, Ashok Mittal, Raghu Pandey, Mugali Banchhora and Mantu Pradhan took the lead of the protest.
